Mangamma's Journey Home
A woman was found wandering in distress near Kapulakanparthy village. Local villagers alerted Sangam Police Station, but identification proved impossible — she was deaf and mute, carrying no documents.

ISS admitted her to Swadhar Greh through the Sakhi Center on the order of the District Women's Officer. For weeks the team searched through media, newspapers and WhatsApp networks — with no success. Observing that she received a government pension, ISS approached the Aadhaar Center. Using "Missing and Re-union Aadhaar Services," field officer Sri Anirudh identified her Aadhaar card and home address.
Her name was Mangamma, from Laxmipuram village, Kodad Mandal, Suryapet District. On 13 March 2023, she was reunited with her family in a ceremony at the District Collector's Grievance Cell, Warangal.
